The room was surprisingly quiet even though it faced the church, and we appreciated how warmly everyone welcomed us and helped out. The location is very convenient, close to everything we needed. I knew from the listing that there was no elevator, but I somehow missed that detail and was disappointed when we arrived. They offered to find us a room on the first floor, but everything was full. Someone still helped carry one of our suitcases up to the third floor. Thank you 🌺

We had a balcony with a table and two chairs, and there was a mini fridge with butter and bread, plus jam on the table at no extra charge. A nice touch. The reception women were lovely and kind. The location is right in the old town, near everything, though the place feels more like an apartment than a hotel. There’s no parking, no elevator, and the stairs up to the rooms are fairly steep. There also wasn’t a vanity set. Cleaning needs work: they changed the towels, but didn’t change the mattress or clean the bathroom. It was a nice stay otherwise, but housekeeping should improve.

We had no trouble with either the stairs or the church bells, and even had a balcony. Just keep in mind that there are steps right at the entrance and no elevator, so this may not suit someone who can’t manage stairs. It’s also next to the church, which could be a problem if bells keep you awake. The place was clean, right in the center, and everyone was cheerful and ready to help.

You can walk to just about anywhere in Kavala in a few minutes. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and very clean, with a view over the port and fortress. Breakfast was a fairly simple continental spread, with a couple of coffee choices, which is always a plus.
