The apartment looks over the port and marina, which made for a nice view. There’s no parking on site, but the port car park is a five-minute walk away. The place could use a freshening up. For one night, it worked great, and the service was good even though we didn’t meet anyone face to face.

The only real drawback was the small ground-floor terrace. With traffic passing day and night, it was hardly usable unless you smoke, and we had to keep the windows shut. Still, the location is good, so that’s the trade-off. The studio is across from Rapsani beach and about a ten-minute walk from the city center. The beach has fixed reed umbrellas you can use for free, plus showers and changing cabins. Inside, the studio is spacious, nicely decorated, and stocked so thoroughly that we only needed our documents, money, and clothes. The kitchen had dishes and a four-person set, along with rags, sponges, detergent, napkins, toothpicks, foil, a corkscrew, coffee, sugar, and frying oil. The bathroom had shower gel, soap, good-quality big and small towels, toilet paper, a hairdryer, and makeup mirrors. Our welcoming host even gave us a bottle of homemade grape brandy. I’d definitely recommend it.

Dimitris, the owner, has such positive energy that you start your holiday in beautiful Kavala with a great impression. I have only good things to say about both him and the apartment. Happy New Year!
