Corfu Sea Gardens

There was no WiFi in the rooms, so we had to go to common areas to get online, which was very inconvenient. Air conditioning cost an extra €7 per day, an unreasonable charge given the poor state of the room. My girlfriend and I stayed at Corfu Sea Gardens recently, and we were disappointed by the resort. The room was outdated and not clean enough to be comfortable, and the amenities were lacking. Staff weren’t friendly or helpful. Our questions and requests were met with indifference, which made us feel unwelcome. The whole stay was frustrating and disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend this resort to anyone looking for a comfortable, enjoyable vacation.

The location is far from most things, though it’s close to the sea if you use the neighboring hotel’s private beach. What’s called the “private beach” here is just a small muddy, trash-filled patch below the pool. The pool was clean for the first few days, then became a catastrophe after day five. They only cleaned it on the day we left for the next group. The room for four was spread over two floors and had two bathrooms, but there were no sheets or towels when we arrived. We asked, and they came a day later. The second bathroom had no shower, and the shower in the first was broken. After it was fixed, the water pressure was barely there. Upstairs, where the double bed was, it was unbearably hot. The air conditioning couldn’t cool it, and cost €7 a day. The room itself was a bad experience. The service was just as poor. They say rooms are cleaned and towels and sheets changed every seven days, but that never happened. We had to ask them to come on our last day. Breakfast wasn’t tasty, and it gave a fair number of us Salmonella. I don’t know where to start. Overall, don’t ever come here.

The rooms and nearby beach were awful, and guests pay for services they don’t receive. The town is a short walk away, but even on a party trip we expected better standards. We were covered in mosquito bites and dreaded going into the bedroom. Avoid it at all costs.

The sea view is great, the garden is nice, and the pool is large and clean. There’s plenty of room, and it’s nice to eat outside in the garden. You step out of the hotel and the beach is right there. It’s cheaper than other accommodation, and the people at the front desk were very helpful. They cleaned our room every day. The kitchen didn’t work, and the refrigerator door was broken, though it still kept things cold. The inside is a bit old, but for the price it’s okay.
