I wish I were making this up. My experience was frightening, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, especially a woman traveling alone. When I arrived, Spiros offered me a drink. That seemed normal at first, but then I overheard his brother talking about me and seeming unusually interested in the fact that I was traveling alone as a woman. Later that day, his brother told me I could walk through the alleyway while drunk. I ignored him, went to my room, and locked the door. The room was awful. I couldn’t control the A/C, and the cold air and dust made me sick. The kitchen smelled terrible, so I wouldn’t use it. When I got very sick days later, I asked Spiros whether he had cough syrup or knew of a pharmacy. Instead of just telling me, he sent me with his brother, who took me to the hospital. They gave me a muscle relaxer that nearly killed me because it interacted with another medication I’d taken. I woke up unable to breathe. When I got worse and asked for an ambulance, they sent me with his brother again. On that ride, he put his hand on my thigh several times while I was wearing a skirt, and touched my face again. His behavior had already felt creepy. At the hospital, he tried to stay in the room during my lung x-ray, even though I had to undress. A Greek nurse told him to leave, and she clearly noticed how inappropriate it was. Afterward he sprayed perfume on my neck, then drove me to random places, including a bank where I couldn’t use my American card. I needed a tourist ATM near Kavos. I still paid him 70€, even though he caused more problems than he solved. Later, Spiros made me sit and have coffee when I hadn’t agreed to it. I was on my phone, trying to keep to myself, and he asked, “Are you playing me?” Sir, I don’t know you. You’re an elderly stranger. He kept looking at my phone, which made me so uncomfortable I spilled my drink on my shoes. I was scared for my safety and genuinely thought he might take advantage of me. It got bad enough that the embassy was called. When someone asked if I felt safe, I said, “That depends on the person.” Of course, you can’t tell Spiros, because he’d just believe his brother over you. My iPad was also taken out of my backpack and put on the stand for no reason. I hadn’t touched it. If I could give this hotel negative stars, I would. They should be ashamed. Avoid this place at all costs, especially if you’re traveling alone as a woman. Photos attached show the setting and his presence. The man in the photo is Spiros’ brother, 2nd photo .. the brothers car he took me in…

As a hotel manager, I’d give this lovely place a 10 star rating for its hospitality, kindness, and everything else. Spiros and his wife own and run it, and I really enjoyed my visit. I recommend everyone visit them and Corfu Island. Bravo!

The owners are wonderful and hospitable, and helped us with various questions. The sea is clean, warmer, and calmer than the water on the island’s west coast. From the shore, you can watch the sunrise over the mountains of Greece across the water. The sunset is over the sea, and near the shore the water is shallow with clean sand. There’s a bar right on the shore. We recommend it as a great place to relax.

The calm here is hard to leave behind. We were welcomed so warmly by Spiros, Nahla, and Kostas that it felt like home. Coastal breezes, golden sunshine, and the gentle sound of waves made the stay special, and cute cats wandered about like little guardians of the peace. The beach is only steps away, the pool a short stroll, and the whole place feels serene. Seafront Apartments in Corfu is a beautiful hidden gem, a little heaven on earth.

The setting and the feeling of this little place in Kavos are what stayed with me. The sea is just steps away, with clear water and calm skies, and no loud beach clubs or crowds. It’s a small family run property, and the warm couple who run it treated us like their own from the moment we arrived. The rooms are basic but clean, with the essentials and simple comfort, nothing extravagant. If you want luxury, this isn’t the place. For peace, simplicity, and genuine hospitality, it felt like a home away from home.
