Orpheas Resort - Adults Only

The setting is lovely and peaceful, and the beach feels wonderfully close to nature. The staff were welcoming and friendly, and my room was generally fine. Still, the stay only rates three stars for me, because a lot of the facilities and services fall short of what the place could be. The internet didn't work at all while I was there. Breakfast was honestly very poor despite having some options: the uncooked items seemed straight from the supermarket, the croissants had just been reheated, and the pancakes one morning were so oily I couldn't eat them. Coffee and fresh orange juice cost extra, as did anything beyond what was included in the room and breakfast, which made things less comfortable. Beach sunbeds also had an extra charge. The bathroom was the biggest problem. It stayed damp, smelled bad, and the shower flooded the floor every time because it had no door. The water took a while to heat up. Glass walls and doors separated it from the bedroom; they weren't transparent, so it was technically private, but still uncomfortable and impractical. The glass door itself felt unstable. Shampoo and shower gel came in tiny bottles, and replacements arrived only the following day. There were lots of mosquitos, so bring repellent. And the advertised “gym” was really just a few worn mats, with no proper equipment.

I had a great week and would happily come again. The staff were charming and very helpful, the two pools were lovely, and the food was good. There are also plenty of restaurants across the road, though be warned that the road is busy and can be hard to cross. I loved the resident cats, which the hotel feeds. The hotel is pet friendly too. We really enjoyed our suite and the hotel as a whole. When we first arrived, we were pleasantly welcomed and upgraded to the suite at no extra charge. Every member of staff was fantastic. A wonderful holiday, thank you.

Just got back from a relaxing week at Orpheas Resort. The atmosphere felt magical, the pools were well looked after, and the staff were friendly. There was a good range of tasty food too.
