Denise Apartments

For a night or two it’s okay, and it’s quiet outside, which was really nice. There’s a little beach, a bus stop for Kos town and the airport, and a few restaurants within a short walk. The apartments are very old and need renovation. The kitchen tap spits air, the fridge didn’t get very cold, and the bed was terrible. The old lady was very friendly and tried hard for us, but the cleaning needs to be better, especially under the beds and in the corners.

For one night, it works if you just need a cheap place to sleep, and the prices are fair next to other options. The lady in charge was friendly, but the rooms look old and I wasn’t sure about the cleanliness. Be careful when reading reviews, as there’s another apartment with exactly the same name near Kos town center.

I liked the island and may come back sometime. On a scooter, it’s only about an hour to the capital. When my colleague damaged a door, the owners were very accommodating. The rooms were neat and clean. I was there in 2018, and there were payment problems at first, but they were sorted out because I paid via PayPal. It’s a nice older couple who run the place.

The place was clean, and the old furniture didn’t bother me. If you want more, go to a five-star hotel. I’d come again next year.
