Ikos Aria

The beachfront bungalows were fantastic, and the Deluxe Collection package felt well worth choosing. We loved the setting and comfort, and the whole stay met our expectations for a high-end holiday. The atmosphere was relaxing, with a great choice of restaurants and very enjoyable meals. Service was exceptional and attentive throughout. We'd be very happy to return to Ikos Aria, highly recommend.

The staff were the real highlight, always friendly and attentive, and Kalliopi in guest services was fantastic at sorting out whatever we asked for. Most of the restaurants were very good, with Anaya my favourite, and the wine selection was great. The free car for a day was a nice extra. It was my first Ikos resort. The hotel is beautiful inside and out, with large rooms and lots of choices. The pools and beach are huge, so there were plenty of loungers and space. It was fairly quiet in May, but it's not an adults-only hotel, so expect lots of kids and babies during school holidays. At night the lobby is like a noisy crèche.

The French restaurant was top, though the rest of the food was good rather than extraordinary. We also loved the mini disco show, which was at a good time, and the theatre is tucked aside so the show can't be heard from the other parts of the resort. The beach is nice, with sand toys in boxes for children, water sports, and swimming lessons for kids. We had a very pleasant, relaxed family holiday, and the staff were extremely friendly and mostly helpful. When we arrived, the birthday cake, bed guard, and step chair we'd requested weren't there, but these were arranged later. The manager apologized, was often around, and did her best to improve our stay. A few things could be better: our room could have been cleaned more thoroughly, the restaurant tables were quite sticky, and some beach boys were very slow and unhelpful. This was our second Ikos resort, and I think we'll try other locations too.

We had a family wedding at Ikos Aria, and it was beautiful. The food at the restaurants and poolside was delicious, and the resort was fantastic. The staff were outstanding, hardworking, kind, and attentive. It was my first visit, and I had an amazing time. It definitely won't be my last.
