Kamari Bay Hotel

The staff were friendly, and as a budget stop it was okay. Kos itself is lovely and very friendly. Still, the hotel could use some updating. In room 208 we had no hot water in the morning, and the broken shower nozzle sprayed everywhere. The small window had no blind or curtain, so the early sun woke us up. Breakfast was disappointing too. Try to get there early, because they start clearing things away around 9:40am and you have to ask for items after that.

The sea and hillside view from our balcony was brilliant. The pool was a good size, there were plenty of sunbeds, and it was nice to order drinks at the poolside bar. The location was convenient, with a short walk to the beach, lots of nearby restaurants and plenty of parking out front if you want to rent a car. Air conditioning costs extra, as is standard, and ours worked without any issues. The hotel is good value. The rooms are basic but have what you need. Our bathroom had been renovated, though it was a bit small, and using the open shower without splashing water all over the floor was difficult. It’s not glamorous, but the price is good.

The building is in a good location, but it’s run-down. The old man was uniquely rude, both when we had room problems and in the way he treated us as guests. Breakfast was nonexistent, hot water was only available on request, comfort was zero, and air conditioning cost extra. Cleaning was poor and there were insects everywhere. Such a shame, because the place has potential if management changes.

A brilliant location for everything, with amazing staff who were so friendly. The rooms were very clean and had a good shower. Breakfast was basic but enough. A fabulous place to stay.
