The rooms were clean, and the cleaning lady was very kind, but I wouldn’t choose this place if I needed internet in the room. Reception was good only in the hallways and by the entrance, which isn’t acceptable. The location is almost inaccessible without a car. Prices are fairly cheap, but there are lots of cracks painted over on the walls, and the interior looks much older than the hotel is, as if it was built very cheaply. A van making a few trips a day to drop guests at the center of Kilkis and pick them up would be a good idea.

The location works well if you’re passing through, since it’s beside the main road. Our room was clean, but upkeep could be better. One bed had a problem, and they moved us to another room right away. In that room, turning on the A/C brought a cigarette smell, perhaps because smoking is allowed in rooms, or at least there are no non-smoking signs. The building is well made but needs more maintenance. Breakfast was okay and we didn’t go hungry, though there should be more choice. It feels like a small family business, but it needs more staff to run all those rooms effectively. With the current prices, I’d expect more.

The staff were friendly, but breakfast was poor: coffee, juice, boiled eggs, packaged sweet bread, a few cereals with milk, and bread with cheese if you asked. During my two nights, I also heard what was going on in nearby rooms because there was no soundproofing, and the fridge in my room was very noisy. The shower handle was covered in hard water stains, and its wall mounted head holder was broken.

The room was nice and reasonably priced, and the man on evening duty was so friendly. I left some valuable things behind, but he kept them safe until my uncle could pick them up for me. I’ll come back ❤️
