The Windmill Kimolos

We didn’t stay at the Windmill, just stopped at Kimolos Breeze Café for a glass of wine. The view is breathtaking, especially at sunset, with Poliegos on the horizon. The prices were a real disappointment. We ordered cheese and got only three pieces of local cheese for €17. Even in Mykonos, I wouldn’t expect to pay that much for such a small portion. It felt completely overpriced for the amount and quality served.

Giannis made a big difference to our stay. He was so kind and helpful, always around, and arranged lots of things for us, way beyond what we expected. We also really liked the breakfast and the lovely lady who prepared it. We stayed three nights in May in the Stroggylo room, which was beautifully decorated, with a huge terrace overlooking the hotel and fantastic views of the sea and island. The hotel is close to both the port and town center. We absolutely loved it and will definitely come back!

Eukosmia welcomed us each morning with delicious breakfasts and lovely chats over coffee, a perfect way to start the day. And Eleni met us at the port, made us feel at home right away, walked us through the island map, and shared great tips on where to eat and what to see. Her warmth and positive energy really stood out. Thank you both, and the whole Aria Hotels team, for making our stay so special. The Windmill is a charming hotel in a beautifully restored historic building, and staying there made our time on the special little island of Kimolos unforgettable. It felt like a magical place. We hope to return one day.

The staff were lovely, and breakfast was delightful. There’s also Alika, the sweetest cat ever, who lives at the hotel and is cared for by the staff. Please be nice to her if you stay at The Windmill Kimolos!! We had loads of space and a huge balcony with amazing views, where we could watch both sunrise and sunset.
