We’d like to come back next year, and we recommend this place. We stayed for 7 days, and it was just what we were looking for. The sea view was lovely, and we ate breakfast on the balcony each morning. The owner was helpful and gave us a little introduction to the place. There’s a kitchen, and the room gets cleaned every 2-3 days, though it was clean anyway. The grounds have lots of olive and lemon trees.

We left straight away without staying. The accommodation was a disaster, with literally 100 bugs on the floor and no sign it had been cleaned for months. The owner was rude and seemed to have serious issues. Don’t go there!

The kitchen was the one letdown, as it didn’t have everything someone might need during a stay. Still, Athina is a top choice for the price. Our sea-view balcony was lovely, and the beach is just a minute away, though it isn’t perfect. Over our five days, the room was cleaned perfectly twice and all the towels and covers were changed. The host was warm and friendly. The house is at the start of Kinira, which made for a quiet, relaxing stay.

The room was really dirty when I went in after paying, with hair on the tap and all over the place. I cancelled and asked for my money back, and he yelled at us. When we returned to pack our things, he came into the room with us and stayed there while we packed, even though we were in a hurry. I accidentally dropped some of the money he’d returned, and he picked it up and said it was his. I told him it was mine and took it back. He also threw our bottles into the garden. He was horrible. If you want a clean, normal trip, DO NOT STAY HERE.
