September has its own charm here, with ripe figs and Janna’s delicious homemade cakes. The location is excellent, the rooms feel welcoming and are clean, and the atmosphere makes it easy to relax. I first met Janna, the host at Sylvia, ten years ago. Right away, it felt like we were meant to meet. Each return has felt like coming home to kind-hearted people. Janna and her husband, George, put care into every detail, and they’re always warm and ready to help. You arrive as a guest and leave as a friend. I recommend it wholeheartedly!

Kinira is quiet and a little isolated, but it has a few good tavernas, a small market for the basics, a cute bar, and a nice coffee spot. I liked its calm, authentic feel more than the Golden Beach area, for example. You do need a way to get around. We rented a scooter near Golden Beach. Hotel Sylvia was lovely too. The manager and staff were friendly, relaxed, and helpful. There’s a nice view, breakfast is available, and the public pebble beach is just a short walk away.

Lovely owners, very polite, and they welcome pets. There’s plenty of parking and a nice pool. The nearby beach is a bit rocky, but still really nice. A great hotel!

The staff are very willing to help, and the hotel is really clean. Breakfast is good, too. The internet is very bad, though, and there are lots of mosquitoes with no protection provided. The location wasn’t good for us, since there aren’t many restaurants, supermarkets, or similar places nearby.

We spent two weeks at Hotel Sylvia and had an amazing time. The pool is lovely for a swim, and the pebble beach is beautiful and within walking distance. The owners are very friendly. We’ll definitely return.
