It’s a quiet, lovely place and we’d happily return. From the apartment, walk down the path and you’re at the beach, with free sunbeds that you take down and return to the storage area at the top. There’s no swimming pool. The sea views are beautiful, and a few restaurants are just over a five-minute walk away. A car is useful for reaching the nearest supermarket, other shops and restaurants, or sightseeing. We slept well thanks to the comfortable mattress and air conditioning. The apartment has a table and chairs inside and outside, plus sunbeds. There’s good potential for kitchen storage, but the shelves were missing from the top cabinets. Self-catering equipment was sparse: there was no tin opener, just a sandwich toaster rather than a regular toaster, and the drinking glasses were tiny. For a kitchen of that size, it’s a shame there’s no oven and only a two-ring hob, though the hob worked well. The wardrobe had plenty of hangers, but there weren’t many storage drawers, and the bedside table had none.

We arrived around midnight and the owner greeted us warmly, then took us around the property. The place is quiet and peaceful, with plenty of privacy. I’d definitely stay here again.

Paraktio is in one of the best spots on Rhodes, right by a very quiet beach with clear water and no boats around because of the seabed. Our apartment was small but thoughtfully laid out, had everything we needed, and everything worked. There are several tavernas within walking distance, and the market isn’t far either. Philippos is a really nice guy. We had a completely positive experience, and thanks to him we spent one of our best holidays in recent years.

We’ve been coming from Australia to Paraktio Beach Apartments for six years. Filippos lives on site, is always around for friendly advice, and is a great host. The rooms are spotless and comfortable, with unbeatable views of the Aegean and coastline. The apartments sit right on the beach, and there are six restaurants within walking distance. I’d recommend Paraktio to anyone after a real Rhodes Island experience instead of a big hotel.
