Dante's Maisonettes

The beach right in front of Dante's was a real highlight: quiet, unusually lovely, and crystal clear. The location also worked well for exploring, about 20 minutes by car from the city center and 10 minutes from the tourist area of Tsilivi. We stayed in a clean, well-equipped maisonette with a beautiful view, and Tasos welcomed us warmly with useful island suggestions. We spent lazy time by the pool with drinks, and Tasos is a very good cook. His grilled fish is worth trying, but let him know ahead of time. He also makes delicious Greek dishes like mousaka and gemista, and sometimes beef in red sauce that was tender and tasty. Great facilities and hosts. We loved the island and will visit again, staying at Dante's for sure.

The view is extraordinary, and waking up to the Greek landscape every day was a treat. The apartments are clean and cozy, with the feel of a real Greek room. The pool has a lovely atmosphere and is well looked after, and the cleaning lady comes by often, even keeping the flowers watered. The host is a wonderful person, speaks English well, and is happy to share advice. He takes the time to know his guests and care for them, unlike big corporations. He cooks well and is there to help if needed. Even if you make a mistake as a guest, he tries his best to help. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a homey stay and a time they'll remember.

Tasso and his wife made us feel completely welcome. We had many good conversations and laughs, and Tasso is a proud, authentic Greek man who knows Zakynthos inside out and can point you toward places to visit. The apartment was cozy and lovely, it really felt like home. There’s also a restaurant where his wife can make you the dinner you want. We spent a fantastic first week of our holiday at Dante's Maisonettes. It's near the beach in a quiet part of the island, and a good base for getting around by car. The pool is great, with a little bridge in the middle and plenty of beds for relaxing. We won't forget our stay, and maybe we'll return someday.

We had a wonderful week here. Anastasiou was friendly, funny, and gave us lots of ideas for visiting the island. The hotel is about 20 km from Zante, and we liked that it was so peaceful and quiet.
