For Crete in high season, this place is really affordable. Chrisa was very friendly and helpful, and let me check in well before the usual 2 PM. My room was clean and just like the photos, with a comfortable bed and clean, though somewhat worn, sheets. I chose a double room with a balcony because I didn’t like the idea of a windowless basement room. The thin interior doors were the downside: you could hear everything other guests did in the hallway, especially around 4 in the morning. Still, I guess that’s a small price for affordable accommodation if you’re not too fussy about the room. It was cleaned daily, and sheets and towels were changed every three days. There were some great restaurants nearby, and the beach was close enough for an evening swim in the warm Greek sea around 8 PM.

The stained bed linen and bugs made it hard to sleep, and we lost a lot of rest because of the discomfort. We also had a power cut that lasted 2-3 hours across the area. We later learned it was planned electrical network maintenance, but nobody told us beforehand. At night, when the power went out, we had no air conditioning. We tried to ensure our safety by leaving the room to switch on the electrical panel, with the risk of getting a shock. We reported the issue but got no help or response from the host. It was a very poor experience, and I wouldn’t recommend it. It might suit someone after a budget stay of just 1-2 nights who’s willing to accept lower quality, but for a longer stay, I’d strongly suggest looking elsewhere.

Noise from the surrounding bars was incredibly loud until morning. There was a constant damp smell, and the air-conditioning filter seemed never to have been changed. I had an asthma reaction for the first time. The bathroom was poor too. I don’t recommend staying here.

Our room was clean and tidy, with the sheets and towels changed often, and the staff were friendly. The owner was fantastic, helpful and caring. We were practically by the sea, with lots of restaurants nearby and free parking. No complaints. Thank you!
