We had a great time at Stavroula Palace. The place was very clean, with a lovely view of the sea, the hills, and the tavernas. The owners were helpful and warm, a real family. They pointed me to a good quality bike rental place. I rode through olive groves, enjoying amazing views of the Crete coast, the hills, and some small towns. There are two different beaches, both nice, one sandy and the other stony. I spent my holiday there from August 20nd to 27th. All the best to the owners!

We chose this beautiful hotel for our holidays two years in a row. It's right by the beach and Kastelli, Kissamos seafront, with a relaxing atmosphere, clean comfortable rooms, a pool suitable for children, and enough parking space nearby. It's a family business, and if you're lucky enough to meet the owners, you'll find the best hostesses I've ever met.

The room was super nice and had amazing views, definitely the highlight. But when I arrived it smelled of pee, which was really unpleasant, and the light switches were sticky, so I doubt they'd been cleaned recently. I did get a bit of discount, which was really nice. I wasn't impressed with the owner's behaviour. She asked me several times to hang out with her, as if I'd come to spend my holiday with her, and invited me to go out for food. She stroked my shoulder in a completely unprofessional way, and once came right up into my face while talking, as though we were about to kiss. Oh dear. You get the idea. If you're a woman travelling alone, don't go there unless the owner learns about personal space and boundaries.

A lovely family-run hotel, and they’re really welcoming to dogs. The people working there are great, and the rooms are wonderful. Well worth staying here.
