The breakfast was really good, with plenty to choose from, although there were hardly any sweet options. Staff were always kind and ready to help, and you can take one of the hotel's umbrellas out for the day. The room was clean-ish, but old, and ours opened straight onto the pool area. There was no privacy at all, with no shades and only a flimsy curtain that wouldn't close properly. Still, it was a good experience apart from that.

The staff were such a delight, and made this one of the best stays we've had in a while. It's a small, friendly hotel just across the road from the beach, with lovely walks nearby. There's a short transfer from the airport and easy access to bus stops, shops, and restaurants. We had plenty of choice at meals, and the food was excellent each day. Our rooms were cleaned daily, with towels and bedding changed often. At the other end of the village, about a mile away, there's a great coffee shop and a fabulous bakery with delicious cakes and pastries. We'll definitely be back.

Niki was so helpful and kind, and the woman working in the kitchen was extremely friendly and welcoming. Their service really lifted our stay. The apartment was quite old and could do with renovation. It had two bedrooms but just one air conditioner, so cooling the whole place was hard. In the summer heat, it was frustrating that the AC stopped automatically whenever we opened the balcony door. The bathroom was tiny, water spread across the floor after showers, and there was no toilet paper holder.

We were very happy with our several days here, and would gladly recommend the hotel. I don't know why Google gives it one star, it deserves much more. Everything was very clean, including our room, which had a private terrace with a jacuzzi, a TV, and air conditioning. Breakfasts were delicious, with lots of local products, and the staff were kind, smiling, and helpful. Nearby are a supermarket, pharmacy, taverns, small shops, and bus stops with handy connections to Heraklion and the airport. From Heraklion, it's easy to catch a bus to other parts of Crete. An unforgettable stay, and greetings to the wonderful staff!
