Chrispy Waterpark Resort

The water park and pools were good, the food was okay with something decent to eat fairly often, and compared with similar hotels it was alright. Drinks were okay and cleaning was good. The snack bar was disappointing, even the fries weren't good. The rooms are quite dated. Doors and drawers were crooked and didn't open properly, and although the closet could hold two suitcases, there were only a few hangers and no hooks, so we used the suitcases as wardrobes. There were only three outlets in the apartment if you unplugged the TV. The key was a magnetic one attached to a key ring instead of a standard card, so chargers only worked while we were in the room. The shower and bathroom fan were broken, though repaired quickly. Most staff were super nice. One receptionist, a short woman with dark hair, was rude all week. When we arrived with our suitcases, she opened reception by arrogantly asking “what do you want.” Several other guests had the same experience. If you're leaving in the evening, check the late checkout costs. The listed fee doesn't include all-inclusive, which is €15 per adult. For example, if you take the 6 p.m. airport bus, you only get lunch for that price. Nowhere did we see that you also need the wristband to use the water park. The same receptionist told us this arrogantly, and her answer when we asked for an explanation put me off asking any more.

The room was in a quiet, isolated spot, and the bed was very comfortable, which helped us relax. The hotel itself was spacious, beautiful, and well equipped. Service was generally good, especially room service, and the activities were average. The food tasted good, but there wasn't much variety. Desserts were almost identical each day, and many of the fruits were disappointing, not fresh and almost rotten. One receptionist also behaved rudely and unprofessionally toward a guest filling out the check-in form. It was strange and unacceptable customer service. Considering the service, I'd rate the hotel below four stars. We were also charged an extra 10 euros per night just because it is listed as a four-star hotel.

GOBINDE, the waiter and bartender, deserves a special mention. He solves guests' problems quickly and efficiently, and his excellent English means he's always ready to help and offer advice. Thanks to all the staff for the warm welcome. The complex is large but doesn't feel crowded, even with lots of guests. It has three pools and water slides, and both the rooms and grounds are very clean. The hotel is remote, though well connected to the rest of the island. The food was okay, and the atmosphere was very good, with entertainment programs and dances at a high standard. Best regards to the staff and Gobinde.

The service was amazing, with friendly, helpful staff who were always smiling. There were fun games every day, and our kid loved the minidisco. The beach is 250m away, and buses run frequently if you want to explore. You can pay wireless, which is convenient. The rooms seem obsolete and could definitely use renovation. The beds weren't comfortable, though that's personal preference. The place has seen better days. Food was mostly overcooked, the kids menu didn't suit smaller children and was repetitive, and breakfast was exactly the same every day, with little in the way of vegetables or healthier choices. The waterpark has something for everyone. The small kids' area was fun, but water couldn't drain because of rust or damaged pipes, and it needs renovation. In the section for bigger kids and adults there was so much chlorine that you could smell it from a distance, and our kids' eyes were burning. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere. With a small child, there aren't places to walk with a stroller, and the town seems empty. You can walk to the next town in 25min, but there aren't many attractions there.
