Nereides Hotel

The hotel is old, but it’s a great stay for the price. The pool and bar area are nice, and the staff are incredibly helpful and kind.

We were nervous after reading so many negative reviews online, but the hotel was freshly painted and decorated when we arrived, and everything was spotless, including the pool and garden. The staff were so helpful, nothing seemed too much trouble. We’d arrived very late, and the owner opened the kitchen to serve us pizza and red wine. Our room was a good size for two, with a nice sea view on the pool-facing side. The balcony gets no sun until late afternoon, which was a blessing, especially when there was a breeze. The beds were a little hard, but that wasn’t a problem for my back, and the bathroom was fine too. There’s a supermarket and bus stop across the road, and the village is 1km away. As someone who’s travelled for many years, I’d recommend this hotel. It’s good value.

We felt right at home here, and I’d happily recommend the hotel to anyone. It was even better than the photos, with comfortable rooms with balconies, working Wi-Fi, a deep pool and a children’s area. The beach, taverns, and shops are nearby too. The owners and staff were kind, helpful, and great to deal with. Nothing seemed impossible for them, and room service was excellent. Meals were great as well, especially the fresh fish, traditional Crete cuisine, and good breakfasts. Such good value for the price.

Really enjoyed this vacation. It’s family-run, the service is great, and everyone was very helpful. Breakfast was nice, the beach is a short walk away, and there’s a store right across from the hotel.
