Golden Odyssey Hotel - All Inclusive

The service really stood out: staff greeted us with smiles and made us feel welcome, and they treated us like royalty when we showed them respect and kindness. The rooms look good and are better than many hotel rooms, though the beds are standard, the pillows are hard, shower pressure is very low, and the finish in the rooms could be better. Tsambika beach is very close, but shops take a bit of walking or travel to reach. There are several pools and a water park, which is a big plus, and it wasn't too crowded. The water was very, very cold, though, so the pools aren't ideal for small children. The main pool area has a good snack bar and attentive service. There's also a mini market, hotel bar, evening entertainment, and an old, worn playground that's still usable. We stayed during weeks 41 to 42 and would give the hotel four stars overall.

The restaurant and bar teams were friendly and helpful, but the food was flavorless even though there was plenty of choice. Most other staff were unbelievably rude: reception acted as if we were a bother, and the cleaners seemed annoyed if we were in our room. Getting to the beach was a hassle, with an overcrowded bus and no signs telling you where to get off. The hotel feels isolated, miles from anything interesting, and there are no excursions or other options to fill the time. Back at the hotel there are no shops or attractions, just the same dull surroundings. I never usually write reviews, but this stay at Golden Odyssey was awful enough that I wanted to warn people. Save your money and book somewhere else.

There was lots for adults and children to do throughout the day, and the food was delicious with plenty of choice. The staff worked incredibly hard, and everyone we met was lovely. Reception was especially friendly and helpful, and room service was good too. You can take the shuttle to the beach or walk there in about 20 minutes. We really enjoyed our visit, and would recommend it to families. Thank you all.

We spent two weeks here as a family with three grown-up children, and had a wonderful holiday. The grounds are lovely, with hills around them, and there’s a beautiful nearby beach with lots of watersports. The hotel has three pools, including one with slides, which everyone enjoyed. The rooms were rustic but spotless, the staff were friendly, and the entertainment was good for families. Food was served from 7:30am to 9:30pm, with a good variety. Beer, wine and soft drinks were available 10:30am-5:30pm, then beer, wine and cocktails from 6pm to 11pm at the main bar and entertainment area. We couldn't fault the hotel and would highly recommend it.
