I spent a wonderful week at Memi Cottage over Greek Easter, and even roasted my first lamb! It’s a perfect spot if you want to get away from it all in a beautiful, unspoilt part of Greece. The views across the bay to the snow-capped summit of Taygetos were stunning. Restaurants and supplies are a short drive away in either Charakopio or Koroni. Inside, the owner has thought through every detail, with lots of charming touches that make the cottage feel like home.

For long lunches and quiet nights, this is just the right place. The accommodation is thoughtfully put together, with traditional details alongside urban touches. It captures the classic Peloponnesian landscape, and Memi is a beautiful beach for a swim. If you want somewhere a little busier, Koroni is only 3 km away, with good food at most restaurants and a few bars to carry on the evening.
