The host was welcoming and gave me useful suggestions for places to visit and eat. The apartment I booked was spotless and close to the stairs. I worried it might be noisy at first, but closing the bedroom door made it perfectly quiet. A topper mattress helped my crooked neck rest like a baby. You can walk to the centre of Kos town in a short time, and everything you might need is nearby. A really lovely stay at a fair price!

We had a great time, thanks for everything! Yannis was so kind and always ready to help, and the people and service were excellent. The rooms were functional and perfectly satisfactory. The hotel is in the best area of Kos town, close to the historic centre but away from the noisy part.

The rooms are spacious and very central, and the host is great. It’s a good price too, so it could work as a budget option for the first few days before moving to a higher-class hotel near a beach. There are some drawbacks: the rooms are old, the beds are split and uncomfortable, and the uncomfortable shower is practically combined with the toilet.

Yiannis really made our stay. He’s a lovely guy, friendly, funny, chatty, and always happy to help. He found us a small hire car much more cheaply than we could elsewhere, and arranged for it to be delivered to and collected from the hotel. We’d checked out days earlier, but he still let us store our luggage on departure day. He’s fab! Highly recommended. Our studio at Captain Yiannis Studios was massive, with easily enough room for four, a good kitchen, and two terraces. The beds were comfortable and everything was cleaned every day. It’s a short walk to the port, and even closer to Diagoras Square and the old town restaurants. If you like history, Western Excavations, Casa Romana, and Odeon are nearby too.

The balcony was nice, though the neighbouring balconies looked straight onto it and ours onto theirs. The room was clean, comfortable, and had AC. The beds were clean and comfy, the bathroom was clean too, and the small kitchen corner came in handy. There’s WiFi, so you don’t have to struggle for cell service. Everything is close, and you can get around on foot.
