Diamond Boutique Hotel

We had a fantastic five-night stay at Diamond Boutique Hotel. The peaceful pool area had comfortable sunbeds, table service and attentive waiters. Cocktails there were great, and breakfast changed a little each day while always offering fruit, continental, English and Greek choices, all high quality. The overall food was very good. Our clean, comfortable room was in a small, quiet block, a pleasant short walk from reception, the restaurant and pool bar. The hotel sits at the end of a quiet urban road, giving it a tucked-away, oasis-like feel. Kos Town and its lovely harbour are around a 15-minute walk away, with less touristy restaurants along the route. The walk is flat and easy, or reception can arrange rental bikes through a local company for €5 a day, making the old town a five-minute ride. The team were brilliant, cheerful, helpful and genuinely fun to see each day. Konstantina and 'Ronaldo' were great, and Theodora welcomed us with fresh orange juice and cold face towels, then arranged anything we needed. Highly recommend this gem for a relaxing Kos break. We loved the friendly welcome from the moment we arrived. Theodora at Reception was wonderful, and Emiliano and Konstantina made us laugh while serving food and drinks during the day. Prices for food and drink were a little above town rates, as we'd read beforehand, but the quality was very good. We often had lunch by the pool. Breakfast had lots of variety and was delicious, especially the fresh omelettes and pancakes. Our room had a decent amount of space and everything we needed. The bed was low but really comfortable, and with the air conditioning we slept very well. There was plenty of wardrobe space for most clothes, though it wasn't tall enough for long dresses. The mini fridge initially seemed to fit just two or three small water bottles, until my husband moved the shelf up and got seven in. Our first-floor balcony looked over the gardens and was nice for an afternoon drink, with a welcome breeze. The ground-floor rooms seemed to have slightly bigger furniture than our small table and chairs upstairs. There wasn't anywhere to dry swimwear, so we used the balcony luggage rack. Walking to the beaches, bars and restaurants takes an easy 15 minutes. The route is flat and felt safe, and goes through residential areas that I liked for the glimpse of local life and culture beyond the tourist spots. A huge thank you to the team for such a happy, memorable holiday.

It was about a 20-minute walk to the old town, but we'd still go back. The staff and service were lovely, and the rooms were kept so clean and well maintained, with fresh bedding every day.

Diamond Boutique is quiet at night, while the Old Town restaurants are only about a 15-minute walk away. The hotel is in a great spot, and the staff are friendly and attentive. Their restaurant is a good option for dinner too. A fantastic place to stay.
