Olympia Hotel

The breakfast was simple, but there was fresh fruit and cake, along with bread, yoghurt, and eggs. It was self-service, and the staff kept everything stocked. The hotel stayed clean and cool in the afternoons, and someone at the front office was always available for a question or a chat. We had bicycles and liked being able to walk too. The centre and beach were both about five minutes away, and the hotel itself was in a quiet spot where we only heard a few cars now and then. Our room was clean, cool, and nicely decorated. They cleaned daily if you wanted and changed the towels. The air conditioning was a lifesaver in the heat, and the bed was more comfortable than we expected. The Sunweb website mentioned a safe, but there wasn’t one in the room. We didn’t need it, though. The people here made our week on Kos feel special. Everyone was kind and helpful. When we worried my girlfriend had been bitten by a cat, the nightman advised us to go to hospital, then waited outside when we returned to check that she was okay. Later, when we thought she’d lost her ID, someone at the front office offered right away to call the restaurant we’d visited. We’re animal lovers, and a stray cat with a chipped ear often hung around the hotel. Locals fed the cats and left water, so we did the same. After a few days she recognised us and came over whenever we passed. We called her Chippy, full name: Chippy Pookie. The staff told us her owner had sadly passed away. We asked them to keep an eye on her and give her water or food from time to time. I hope she becomes a regular and a real mascot for Olympia Hotel. Thank you to everyone at Olympia for making our stay so welcoming. We hope you have a good season, and Chippy, we hope to see you again. Maybe we can take you in if we have room. I had such a good time in Kos, and the hotel was great. Stefanos deserves a special mention. He works hard, is very polite, and made me feel at home. I’ll probably be back next year!

The shower was tiny, and water leaked out every time I used it. Apart from that, everything was lovely. I stayed at Olympia hotel in September, and liked the bright rooms with balconies. The woman at reception was friendly and knew her job, and they serve breakfast each morning. I’d recommend it.

A lovely small hotel in a quiet part of Kos town, with the centre easy to reach on foot. Our room had been refurbished recently. I especially liked how quiet the air conditioning was, the comfortable beds, the safe, and the cleanliness. Breakfast was good too. The staff were friendly and helpful with information about historical landmarks and things to do in town. I’d recommend it for a shorter stay, since there aren’t facilities for a beach holiday.
