We really appreciated how the hotel handled the chaos when Storm Daniel hit the island on our last day. Flights were all canceled, but the manager kept the staff organized and dealt with the situation calmly and professionally. They offered us complimentary meals at the restaurants as an apology and compensation, which we truly appreciated. Thank you so much, Dimitris! Thankfully, our return flight left the next morning, though significantly delayed. We stayed for a week in a beautiful suite with a private pool, which the kids absolutely loved. Elivi Resort is a huge complex, so you really do depend on golf buggies to get around. The place feels new, clean, well maintained, and tastefully designed, with a genuinely luxurious feel. We visited at the end of September, and the staff seemed tired after a long, demanding season, but they still made an effort to be friendly. Things felt warmer and more personal when they realized my wife and I both speak Greek. Breakfast was generous and varied, with lots of fresh fruit and freshly squeezed orange juice. We had dinner once at the main restaurant and mostly ate outside the resort. We also had lunch twice in the afternoon at The Nest restaurant while spending time at the beach, and really enjoyed it. Despite the dramatic ending, we left with very positive memories and felt well looked after throughout our stay. It’s a stylish, family-friendly luxury resort with excellent management, even in difficult circumstances.

We spent our honeymoon here on a short trip, and it was one of the best we’ve ever taken. The grace suite was perfect: clean and well kept, with an ocean view from both the room and patio. The private pool was large enough for a proper swim, not just a plunge. The staff were great and super friendly. Grace beach and bar was the best, The NEST Fish restaurant was fantastic, and breakfast was plentiful and tasty.

This was our second visit, so I’m definitely a fan. The beach and gardens are spectacular, and the service is great. Since it’s a 5-star resort, though, I’m being picky about what could improve. The gym is tiny and inadequate for a place this size. There’s no resort shop, and town is quite far away. I don’t expect a supermarket with five restaurants on site, but a few basics like crisps, chocolate, or nuts would be useful. The bars on both beaches close at 5 p.m., even though sunset is at 8. I believe they stay open later in high season, but the hotel is still pretty busy in September, and I’d like to be able to get a drink until the beach closes.

The setting is beautiful and scenic, but the hotel felt dated and not like a 5-star place. Staff seemed inexperienced and slow, and the lifeguards were incredibly rude. Our air conditioning and lights kept malfunctioning and turning on in the middle of the night throughout our stay. It was a very average experience, and I definitely won’t be back.

The staff gave us an experience we’ll never forget. Elivi is truly a 5-star resort, and if you want a wow factor, this is the place. If you’re visiting Skiathos, Elivi is a must. It was amazing.
