Cedar Bay Beachside Villas

Cycling to the baker for fresh croissants each day and swimming back to our beach after walking around the peninsula beside the villa were two of the highlights. We also walked the Samaria Gorge and spent plenty of time relaxing by the pool. The villa was wonderful, and Maria’s service made this one of the best holidays we’ve had. I’d highly recommend staying here.

At Villa Kedros, the days seemed to slow down, with the sound of the waves and the warmth of the sun all around. Set right on the beach, it also has a clear private pool, and the outdoor areas look out on a lovely display of light and colour. The interiors are carefully kept, elegant, and harmonious. Each morning felt like a fresh start in a beautiful place, and the sunsets were something special. It’s a peaceful, comfortable spot where you can enjoy simple things and spend your time between relaxing and taking it all in. This is somewhere to live and breathe for a while, not just visit.

We keep coming back year after year because we haven’t found a more relaxing place among all the villas we’ve stayed in around Crete and the Greek islands. Cedar Bay is in a perfect spot, just a few steps from the clear sea, and there’s a private pool for cooling off too. The villa is nicely furnished with everything we need, and Maria is a wonderful host. Paleochora is a short drive away, with a good bakery for coffee and fresh pain au raisin, plus plenty of places for dinner. A perfect holiday.

Maria was a gem as host. Her communication was great, she greeted us at 9 pm, and gave us a really helpful introduction to the villa, things to do, and places to eat. She also checked in twice during the week to see if we needed anything. The villa is small but very comfortable for up to four, with two bedrooms and two en suites, and it was perfectly presented and well equipped. The view over the quiet beach to the bay and its clear, smooth water was fantastic. Five tavernas are a short walk along the beach; we tried three and liked them all. Grammeno had the best food, although it isn’t beachfront. There’s also a small camping and glamping site next door with a nice beach bar and restaurant. I’ll recommend this place to friends and family, and I’m sure I’ll be back. 10 out of 10!
