We’ve just got home after a week at the Mythos. It was alright, but I won’t be coming back. The rooms and pool area were fine, though not what I’d call high-end, and the place may be too large for what it’s trying to be. There was a good range of food at each meal, but the all-inclusive food and drink felt like what you’d expect from a mass-market setup. We usually had lunch at the pool or beach bar, where table and menu service made it feel more personal. The staff worked hard, but they seemed short-handed, which led to delays and things being forgotten. The beach is a little rocky, but the warm water and great visibility made it worth it, even if you forget your swim shoes. A few tips: partial sea view rooms get evening sun, while sea view rooms get morning sun. The beach pool was quieter than the others. Bring sea shoes and a snorkel. The beach bar is a good lunch choice, and dinner on the main restaurant’s outside terrace feels quieter and less like a canteen. Try the cocktails 🤪

The hotel was clean, the room was lovely with a great view, and the pool area was tidy with unusually comfortable loungers. We liked the pretty, secluded setting, and staff were generally friendly, especially Poppy the maid, who was genuinely lovely. Olea lunch, included in the all-inclusive package, was decent. We also ate at a nearby restaurant on three of our seven nights because the food was much better and the staff were great. Breakfast buffet was fine, nothing special. Good weather helped too, though that’s not really the hotel’s doing. The main problems were the food, drinks and organisation. Dinner buffet was awful, and the “free” evening meal at Olea was poor. All-inclusive drinks were low quality and varied by bar, even cocktails like a mango daiquiri weren’t always included. Staff were friendly but not very informative, and having lots of them didn’t translate into better service. We were told our suitcases would be taken to the room, but had to carry them ourselves while staff sat around. Our door lock was broken on arrival, though maintenance fixed it quickly. Entertainment listings were inaccurate, with advertised acts not showing up, and it was odd that the “Serenity” quiet pool played music only on Friday. Wasps were everywhere, constantly, which was honestly ridiculous. The clean hotel and a few nice touches couldn’t make up for the food, all-inclusive setup and poor organisation. A few fixes could make it much better.

We got the relaxation we wanted and had a great honeymoon, though I’d rate the hotel four stars rather than five. The location is remote, which fits with it being an adult-only resort, but the views are amazing. Our room was cleaned thoroughly each morning, and having a private beach was excellent. The beach was beautiful and relaxing, and the guy in the hut was brilliant. The downside was guests saving sunbeds and then not showing up for hours, which felt unfair. Of the four outdoor infinity pools, our favourite was the quiet one by the beach, with its stunning views. Breakfast at the restaurant was good, but lunch and dinner felt repetitive and didn’t sit well with us. The beach restaurant was lovely, with fresh-cooked food, and the hotel’s complimentary Greek meal on our last evening was good too. We especially liked the rooftop bar. Entertainment was mixed, but the cocktails were great. You can book excursions at the hotel; we booked two trips through a friendly independent tour operator just past the beach restaurant, with very reasonable prices.

We felt very welcome during our eight days at the Mythos Palace Resort in Corfu. Our spacious, beautiful room had its own plunge pool and was in a quiet spot near both the main building and beach. Food across the restaurants was very good quality, with lots of choice, and there were plenty of cocktails, beers and spirits. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the entertainment was good. The private beach is only a two-minute walk away. For a day out, I recommend hiring one of the nearby motorboats and cruising along the coast. A lovely place for adults to relax in comfort, highly recommended.

The way staff treated us completely ruined what should have been a relaxing holiday. My partner and I were met with eye rolls, sighs and unhelpful replies whenever we asked something. I felt we were treated worse because we’re younger, while older guests got better service. No one properly explained the all-inclusive facilities, and some comments and digs left us uncomfortable throughout our stay. I honestly can’t think of one positive interaction. There was a leak in our bathroom whenever we ran the water. When I asked the front desk how to reach Corfu Town, they said a taxi was the only option, costing us €60 for the return trip. Another guest later told us the hotel runs a bus for €15. When I asked why that hadn’t been mentioned, the response was, “you didn’t ask.” It’s advertised as a five-star resort, but the service and facilities don’t match that. After reading other reviews, I see others have reported rude management and poor customer service too, and I believe those comments. I feel misled by the advertising and would never return. I don’t think I’ll be booking again.
