Creta Suites

We had no hot water for two days, and there was neither an apology nor compensation. The beds were the worst and most uncomfortable we've had in all our travels. Management on site was very uncooperative, so I can't recommend this place. The pool water was colder than the ocean, and the property needs a facelift.

The food was delicious, and the atmosphere is calm and relaxing. Staff at Creta suites are friendly and helpful. You'll need a car to get around.

It's an enjoyable place, with a lovely pool and a great view. The rooms are clean and maintenance is immaculate. Getting there means taking a steep hillside road, though. A few things are missing, like washing-up liquid, even though guests are expected to clean their dishes. There's no room service, and often no one around to look after guests.

The facilities are modern and nice, with fantastic sunset views over the sea. Georgia and Ana were especially helpful and service-minded, and the staff were very friendly. The manager came across as focused on collecting payment and not very customer-friendly. We ate breakfast each day, but it was much the same every time rather than freshly made to order. Compared with other islands, that was disappointing. Crete is such a good place for fresh, locally grown food, so serving frozen food heated in a microwave didn't seem like a great idea. I'd give the staff and facilities five stars, but management three, maybe four at most.
