What made our four days in August so lovely was having Babis there whenever we needed advice. He had great suggestions for things to do and places to go nearby, in an area that's stunning, with stony and sandy beaches and good restaurants and bars. It felt less touristy than the north of Crete. He also met us where the bus dropped us at the bottom of the hill, drove us up the few hundred meters to Eleni's Appartements, and took us back when it was time to leave. The rooms are simple, charming and very clean. Several little houses sit around a small pool, with a bar and seating area looking out at the mountains, framed by palms and deep blue Greek sky. Breakfast there was generous and tasty, with fresh fruit and Greek yogurt with honey, and wasn't expensive. There's a parking lot beside the hotel for rental cars. We loved our stay and would definitely come back.

The owners are very welcoming, and since they live on site, they're around if anything comes up. We could tell they put a lot into the place: it was spotless and well cared for. Most of the guests seemed to be regulars, lounging by the pool at a wonderfully relaxed pace. We were staying at another resort down the road but came by several times for coffee and a chat. If we return to the area, we'll stay here.

The hosts are so welcoming, and breakfast and the pool area are lovely. The apartment feels a little dated, and the beds are slightly too small and hard. Still, breakfast followed by a dip in the pool soon took my mind off that.

The apartments are spotless and each has its own kitchen. Basis and Efi are wonderful hosts who really try to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Breakfast is nice, with yogurt, fruit and an egg, and the pool is a lovely place to cool off. You can also enjoy a nice view of the sea. Most guests seem to return, and the price is very reasonable.

The rooms are spacious and clean, and breakfast is almost too generous. There’s an egg, yogurt and fresh fruit, all delicious. I’d definitely recommend staying here.
