The host really made our stay. They were welcoming, attentive, and had put together a great list of places to eat and drink nearby. Their suggestions were all spot on, from tucked-away tavernas serving local food to cozy wine bars and beach cafés we wouldn't have discovered ourselves. The villa was spotless and stylish, with gorgeous views, great amenities, and all the little details thought through. It's in a peaceful spot that made it easy to relax. We can't wait to come back.

The villa was clean, spacious, and thoughtfully designed, and that view kept grabbing our attention. We had a lovely routine, relaxing by the generously sized pool through the morning and early afternoon, then driving 20 minutes south to the excellent beaches. In mid May, the pool was pleasantly crisp, and the sea was warm enough for a comfortable swim too. Greg was a brilliant host, and we enjoyed several of his taverna suggestions, especially Pyrgos. There are lots of places to choose from nearby, and we found some excellent-value tavernas with really good vine leaves, stuffed peppers, and souvlaki. We had such a great stay at Neromai Cave and will definitely be back.

Check-in and arrival both went smoothly, and we were very, very happy with everything. The villas are modern, luxurious, and impeccably looked after, with super care products and everything very clean. The owner is a really personable young guy, and his website has great tips for places to eat and bays to visit. Highly recommended! ☺️

The house and its surroundings were wonderful, and your warm welcome and hospitality made the stay unforgettable. We appreciated the thoughtful touches and how well you kept in touch throughout. Everything exceeded our expectations, and we had a fantastic time.

We'd just spent a week there and came away amazed. The cave villas feel like a James Bond set, tucked into a stunning remote spot, but they're still close to one of Crete's best roads for exploring the island's hidden holiday spots. The mountain silence is incredible, and we loved watching large birds circle over the valley. Spili is only a 7 minute drive away. Greg was an amazing host, with wine and fresh fruit waiting for us. You'll need a hire car for groceries and trips to nearby restaurants, tavernas, and beaches. The location is central enough to reach a lot, including Rethimno’s old town in 20 minutes. I almost don't want to share this place on Google, but if you find it, you've found one of Crete's best villas, run by a wonderful local family.
