The pool was wonderful, deep enough for swimming at 2.20m and usually not crowded, and we really enjoyed it. The cook also helped create a good atmosphere, smiling and joking every day. The place itself is in a wonderful location, rustic, and the personnel were very kind and tried to make our stay as good as possible. Dinner in particular was tasty, healthy and freshly cooked, with flavors that reminded me of childhood. There were some letdowns in the room. It didn't look very clean inside: dust was everywhere and there were spiders on the walls, so we cleaned it ourselves. For a 3 star hotel, that didn't seem right. Management should inspect rooms properly before handing them to guests. Breakfast was identical each day. It was fine for 2-3 days and there was enough to eat, but some small changes would help, such as scrambled or fried eggs instead of boiled ones, ham, sausage or olives, which are a symbol of that place. Towels were changed every 3 days, but the bed sheets weren't changed at all during our 7 nights. That's a big minus for a family with children, who may get dirty hands on the sheets. They should change them on request, at least on some occasions. Even with those issues, we had a good vacation and liked the location.

The meals were awful, and dinner was especially frustrating. The chef served very small portions, then asked, “Do you want more?” The food itself was so limited too. One day it was fish, spaghetti, and boiled carrots. I’ve travelled around Greece for 10 years and have never had food this bad. In my opinion this is a one-star hotel, not a three-star one. I won’t come back. Please think carefully before booking a room here.

We found the staff warm and welcoming, and everything we ate during our stay was delicious, even though breakfast and dinner each had only four options. Our room was clean and had a nice sea view. There’s air conditioning but no mosquito nets. The hotel sits in a peaceful forest, though the steep walks up to the main road and beach felt exhausting in the heat.

We loved swimming early in the morning with the beach to ourselves. It’s right outside the hotel, and the setting is stunning. In the evenings, we had cocktails on the terrace and took the water taxi to Skiathos town. The hotel is in a good spot, freshly decorated and spotless, with comfortable, clean rooms. Housekeeping deserves credit for keeping the whole place so clean. My one criticism is that rooms at this standard should have tea and coffee facilities. We stayed on a bed-and-breakfast basis. There was a good selection at breakfast and it was all nice, though it’s a shame they don’t use The Olive Tree and its terrace for breakfast. The seafront setting and views would make eating outside a real pleasure. We had two other meals at the hotel, and both were excellent and good value. The gym was small but well equipped, and we enjoyed using it. The staff were friendly, courteous and efficient, and always ready to help. Vasso and Nicos took especially good care of us and helped our birthday celebrations go smoothly. It’s a cosy, welcoming hotel with great food and yummy cocktails. We’d definitely recommend it.
