I wouldn't stay at this hotel again, though I'd return to Rhodes. The food wasn't good enough for us, so we ate out every day. I mostly got by on fruit and bread. If pizza's your thing, download the Efood app, since only one place delivers, and its pizza was lovely. We spent a lot of time out after I complained about the room and how rude some staff had been. They sent up a bottle of prosecco afterward. I'm more of a beer and whisky person, but I appreciated the thought. I hired a car for four days for €165, just over £140, which felt like a bargain. The room was very basic. It had two single beds pushed together, and the beds weren't great unless you asked for a mattress topper. There were small tables on both sides, but no sockets by the bed. The only sockets were by the table at the foot of the bed and near the French doors to the balcony. There was a bath with a shower, but baths weren't allowed, and they wouldn't give me a plug for the sink or bath. I couldn't understand why the room had a bath at all. The mini market inside the hotel sold all sorts of things, from T-shirts and bottle openers to shampoo and mouthwash. It had British chocolates and Lays crisps, plus a couple of Red Bull and Monster options, but only one beer, Corona. There wasn't much entertainment during the day or at night. When something was on, it started at 9:45 p.m. and wasn't very good, or it didn't happen at all. This was a disappointing start to the stay, which wasn't what I expected.

We had a lovely time on our first visit, and the pool was the highlight. It never felt too busy, there were always sunbeds free, and we spent so much time in the water that it was hard to get out. The staff made us feel welcome, especially the Ukrainian housekeeping team. Georgia, the nice lady in the cafeteria, was always nearby with a smile and happy to help. The rooms have been updated since our current stay, and the bathrooms were a big improvement, clean and comfortable. Food was nice, with plenty of fresh fruit, and the pool bar and restaurant served a variety of well-cooked dishes. There's a local Mini Market and Ladiko Bay beach a short walk away. You do have to cross and walk along a main road, but it was manageable and didn't bother us. The hotel has a lovely atmosphere and is especially good for families with kids. Thanks to the whole team for a wonderful stay.

Joey deserves a special mention for being so kind and helpful, and for going out of his way to make sure everything was right. The rest of the staff were friendly and welcoming too, with excellent service throughout my stay. The food had a good range of delicious choices, and the location made it convenient to explore the area and get to what you need. I had a fantastic stay and would definitely come back.

Getting around was easier with a scooter, though I'd ideally hire a scooter or car. Faliraki was about 10 minutes away, and the local walks were lovely. The pool was nice, and the staff were friendly and engaging without being in your face. The hotel itself was nice, although the rooms felt a little basic, perhaps because of the package we bought. Breakfast was okay for an all-you-can-eat buffet.
