Dionysos Studios

Our host really stood out. She helped us explore the island, recommended a fantastic authentic restaurant outside her home village, lent us a beach umbrella, and helped us find the best car rental option. The whole staff were extremely friendly, and the owner made our stay memorable. At Dionysos Studios, the room had everything we needed: a small kitchen, private bathroom, air conditioning, balcony, and a big bed. We also had access to a nearby pool. The location was fantastic, about a 10-minute walk to both the beach and the center. We had an incredible stay and highly recommend Dionysos Studios to anyone visiting Zakynthos! :)

The beach, shops, and restaurants were nearby, and the dog was cute. Beyond that, we had a long list of problems. The room still wasn't clean after it had supposedly been cleaned. The shower was too small to use properly and flooded the bathroom. All the taps had limescale, the soap wasn't refilled, we didn't get toilet paper on the second-to-last day, and the bin wasn't emptied daily. The mattress was so worn out that its springs dug into our ribs. The bed linen was stained and had several cigarette burns. There was a constant sewer smell in the bathroom coming from outside, and the sink and shower water was salty, so we couldn't wash our faces with clean water. There was no free air conditioning. The WiFi was poor on both networks, sometimes one worked, sometimes the other, and sometimes neither. Breakfast was very minimal, with hardly anything left if we went a bit later, even though there was only one other family besides us. There was fur on a breakfast croissant, and they have a dog. There was practically no staff, just one cleaning lady and the owner, who unfortunately doesn't speak English.

This is a good option if you're not choosy. Breakfast is included for the price, and the place is cleaned daily. The location suited us, near the beach with plenty of shops around, and about a 15-minute drive to Zakynthos town. I gave it five stars to raise the rating a little because 3.1 stars seemed unfair.

We spent a week at Dyonisos Studio and can't wait to go back. Erietta was very kind and helpful, and her dog was really cute. Our room was good, the bed comfortable, and the kitchen came with a fridge and equipment. It was peaceful, close to the beach, and only a 5-10 minute walk to Laganas's main street, with restaurants and bars nearby. Breakfast was delicious, with a variety of sweet and savory pastries each morning, plus vegetables, fruit, bread, ham, cheese, jam, Nutella, coffee, tea, and juice. It was perfect for us!
