The breakfast was actually tasty, though there wasn’t much to choose from. That was one of the few positives. I also want to thank the cleaners, who were the only staff who treated us warmly. The room setup was cramped. We booked for three and one bed was more like a child’s bed. There were only two sockets, and one was difficult to reach because I kept having to move the bed. We weren’t given bathrobes or slippers, the toilet flush was extremely loud, and the shower water was salty. We never found the gym or sauna mentioned in the description. The pool was open only from 10 to 18, and the hotel bar shut at 19:00, even though the leaflet we got at check-in said 23:00. The reception staff member was unpleasant and kept interrupting me while repeating, “I am trying to help you.” On our first day, she said there would be no breakfast. When I asked about compensation, she said people can get hurt and there would be none. But breakfast was being served. We only knew because we saw other guests going in, so otherwise we would have missed it. She also told kitchen staff that I had complained I couldn’t find breakfast and was blaming them, which wasn’t what I’d said. The manager later tried to make things right by offering free cocktails and a room change. The replacement room was identical, and we woke in the middle of the night to water leaking from the air conditioner. We were also charged an extra tax at check-in that we hadn’t been told about beforehand. Choose another hotel. This didn’t feel like four stars, two at most. The staff’s attitude and the hotel’s problems ruined our holiday.
