Majestic Hotel & Spa

I’d happily order this again. The fish had a crisp golden outside and stayed tender and flaky inside, while the fresh broccoli and savory eggplant gave it nice texture and flavor. The batter was light, the vegetables were seasoned well, and the whole plate was simple but appetizing and satisfying. It tasted fresh and well cooked, like a comforting homemade meal made with care and quality ingredients.

We were four young women trying to enjoy a holiday, but some staff made us feel uncomfortable and embarrassed. They shouted aggressively at us when we passed reception and said we “had an attitude” and “should be ashamed” for laughing and chatting together. The worst moment was when a male staff member refused to return our passports unless we signed a document. We felt pressured and intimidated, and were told we could be arrested for “fraud” if we didn’t sign. It was frightening and left us feeling vulnerable and unsafe. Our Love Holidays booking had apparently been mishandled. Five days into the stay, we were told there was a problem and had to pay another €600 to remain. We paid immediately and cooperated throughout, yet staff repeatedly accused us of “fraud.” We asked for an invoice for that payment but never received a proper one. When we were leaving for the airport, a female staff member came outside shouting at our taxi driver and tried to stop him taking us. Thankfully, we’d used the same taxi company throughout the holiday, and the driver knew what was going on and carried on with the transfer. The room wasn’t properly cleaned, towels weren’t replaced regularly, and cleanliness overall was poor. What should’ve been a relaxing trip turned stressful and upsetting. Despite paying what was asked, we were met with suspicion, hostility, and intimidation. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

The food was bland and pretty much the same at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Some of it felt like prison food, which really dragged down the all inclusive experience. Rooms were spacious, and one of the three had an amazing view, but there was rubbish under the bed and dust across the floor. I woke to ants one morning and tried clearing them before heading out, but came back to hundreds crawling through a gap between the floor and wall. The location is convenient, almost right in the middle of the strip, but the actual condition of the place is grim. Staff hospitality was appalling. Getting a drink at the bar felt like a nuisance to them, and they seemed stingy, as though they were trying to save drinks for themselves. I know hotels have margins to meet, but this was meant to be all inclusive.

We all got a Small turtle tattoo to remember the holiday. The tattoo shop was insane, with lovely staff and a vibe like no other. The big rooms and amazing pool were great too, and the alcohol was free and unlimited. The place is ideal if you want a fun party holiday. Most enjoyable holiday 😄👌😀
