Yakinthos Hotel

The location was a big plus for getting around. The bus stop is two minutes away, with rides to Zakynthos Town, Kalamaki, or Laganas for €2 per person. There’s a Spar about 8-10 minutes away and a supermarket just a couple of doors down. Bar prices seemed fair too: Kopparberg was €4.70 in the shop and €5 at the hotel. Rooms are basic, as you’d expect from a 3-star place, but spotless. They were cleaned daily and towels changed every two days. No toaster, but you’ll survive. If you’re after an 18-30 party hotel where people are drinking shots until 6 am, this isn’t it. For a relaxed base with a pool and bar, it works really well. Couples, families, and anyone who likes getting some sleep should be happy here. Cheap, clean, cheerful, and properly chilled, just right for enjoying Zakynthos without a rave outside your room.

The food was delicious and affordable, and both soft and alcoholic drinks were well priced. We loved the pool area, and the rooms were spacious with no problems during our stay. The bar woman was lovely, and so was sergio, who gave us free shots and made amazing cocktails. All the staff were kind, including the cleaner who welcomed us with hugs. It was a great girls’ trip for the three of us. The strip was a long walk, around 40 minutes, but taxis cost only €10, which felt cheap for us. Our one gripe was the toilet paper. They insisted on giving us just one roll for our stay, and some days they forgot it. When we asked reception around noon for more, we were told to wait until the cleaner came round, which seemed strange. Lovely team and a beautiful hotel, we’d absolutely recommend it.

We arrived before check-in time, but our apartment was already ready. It was modern and very clean, and the staff were friendly. Towels were changed every other day and sheets every third day. Air conditioning costs extra, though we didn’t need it. The pool was fabulous with plenty of sunbeds, and the bar staff were friendly too. We’d definitely go back. Thanks for a lovely holiday.

The bar staff were the only real positive, they were very friendly. On arrival, though, the other staff were unfriendly. Chicken served at the hotel bar was raw inside, and my friends and I had food poisoning for several days. They also unfairly kept our deposit because the towels were left slightly dirty, even though they would have needed washing anyway. I wouldn’t stay here.
