Stagones Luxury Villas

The cleaning staff and on-site manager were kind and did their best to help, but the company behind the property seemed not to care about guest experience or its so-called luxury standards. We asked for a goodwill discount toward a future stay at another property in the same group, and the corporate office refused. At the premium price, this should never have been marketed as a high-end stay. The internet didn’t work in one villa and was unstable in the others. We complained several times, but nothing was fixed. There was no proper BBQ equipment either. After we insisted, we got a broken one that couldn’t serve three families. We had to buy basic cooking supplies ourselves, since there were no proper pots, pans, silverware, oil, salt, sugar or flour. During rain, water came into the bedroom, and the terrace couldn’t be used. The shade structure collapsed and poured mud onto the furniture. The pool house was dirty, water-clogged and unusable. A major leak at the villa entrance remained unfixed for several days despite repeated requests. Hot water was unavailable for most of our stay and was repaired only on the last day. The kitchen sink kept clogging, and the badly installed tap blocked the window from opening. The whole site needs to close for renovation.

This place shouldn’t have been sold as a luxury stay, especially at that high price. My suggestion: don’t go. It needs to close for renovation. The internet literally didn’t work in one villa. Rain leaked into the bedroom, and the villa entrance had a terrible water leak for days even though we asked several times. The terrace couldn’t be used in rain: the shade fell apart and poured dirt over everything. The pool house was a sham, dirty and clogged with water.

Andreas made us feel at home throughout the stay. He was kind, genuinely welcoming and ready to help with anything, from local recommendations to all the little things that made a difference. The villas were spotless, well maintained and thoughtfully set up for comfort, with lovely design that mixes modern luxury and the island’s calm charm. We had a perfect experience at Stagones Luxury Village. For a peaceful, luxurious getaway with such warm hospitality, Stagones is the place. We can’t wait to return.

Stagones is the kind of place where you can go barefoot, have wine on your own terrace, watch stars from the huge upper balcony and listen to the wind by the pool. It’s quiet and private, and escaping the crowds for a couple of peaceful days there feels priceless. There’s no bar with music, and you’ll need a car. We first stumbled on Stagones last year after a villa advertised as “new” turned out to be old and dirty. We loved the simplicity and calm enough to return this year. The villas are basic but well kept, with daily cleaning and a generous welcome gift. Andreas is a very helpful manager. We’ll be back next year.
