Aria

We had a really enjoyable stay at Aria Studios. It’s peaceful out in the countryside, with an amazing view, and Argostoli is about a 10-15 minute drive. The garden and pool are especially well cared for, and everything else is maintained nicely too. Thalia, the manager, is lovely and helpful, always looking after guests and trying to make them happy. We left after six uncomfortable days and moved somewhere else for the rest of our holiday, which was a huge improvement. As a family with four young children, we never felt relaxed or welcome here. The rooms were clean, tidy and regularly maintained, and the owner seemed friendly and helpful when we arrived. That impression changed quickly. The owner repeatedly shouted at our children, and at other guests, for just being children. We were told not to get the area around the pool wet, not to use pool toys in it, and not to use more than a few of the chairs and tables. There were eight of us, with only 11 chairs available, three of them broken. We felt watched and constantly told off, which made it hard to relax. For most of our stay, we were the only family using the pool or hotel facilities. The owner sent us a message saying it was shared accommodation, not private, and that we had to follow the rules and respect other guests and the building’s safety. It said that if we didn’t agree, she had no problem returning the balance and we could find somewhere else. We asked what we’d done that was disrespectful to the property or other guests, but she couldn’t give any examples. There’s also a bar advertised at the property, but it never opened during our six-day stay. I’d strongly recommend families with children stay elsewhere. It might suit adults wanting peace and quiet better, though even then the atmosphere felt tense and overly controlling.

We came to Lakithra for a wedding and had a wonderful stay at Aria Studios. The couple getting married arranged the accommodation for us, and everything worked out perfectly. The pool was marvelous and made the visit even more enjoyable.

The hostess was so warm, polite and lovely, and the apartment was very clean. We came to Kefallonia as a family and felt right at home. The place gave us exactly the kind of setting we needed, and we’d love to return to the same studios. The village has plenty of places to eat and is close to Argostoli. The pool was spotless and the garden well cared for. Congratulations to the owners.
