Villa Theodora

The views from our private outdoor area were stunning, and the shared grounds were kept in great shape with equally lovely views. The hammocks were a nice touch. Our room had a lot of character, and we would definitely stay here again if we return to Kefalonia. We had trouble with our first flight, which was cancelled and rescheduled for the following day. The staff at Villa Theodora were very accommodating about our late arrival. They were friendly and efficient, and took time to suggest good places for activities and sightseeing. The room was always cleaned to a high standard, and they respected our privacy whenever we didn't need the service that day. The kitchen was useful for cooking on the hob and had a kettle and a fridge with a small freezer compartment. As a cat lover, I was delighted by the cats here. Some are shy, but others are affectionate and friendly. We especially loved the young black cat and couldn't resist giving it treats. They clearly look after the cats well. If cats aren't your thing, they only come over when called, so I'm sure they'll leave you alone if you don't give them attention. It's a good base for getting around the island and a short drive from the airport, though we weren't disturbed by flights. You'll definitely need a car to explore. Roads all over the island are narrow and winding. There's a mini market about a five-minute walk away, or a Lidl around a 10-minute drive.

The apartment was spacious, clean, and had excellent air-conditioning. We enjoyed the lovely bay views, and the kids made good use of the swimming pool. The host was kind and helpful. Lakithra is a great base for exploring Kefalonia, and Villa Theodora comes highly recommended if you're staying there. A small car would make it easier to handle the steep, winding roads.

We came back to Kefalonia for our second visit and found Villa Theodora a lovely base for exploring the island. The studios and apartments are generously sized, nicely furnished, and set among lovely gardens. The quiet pool and fantastic sea views made it feel like a home away from home. If you enjoy relaxed, peaceful surroundings, this place won't disappoint. There's a bakery, mini market, and a few taverns within a five to ten-minute walk. Avithos is a beautiful sandy beach about 10 minutes away by car, with many other beaches nearby. Myrtos is around a 45-minute drive, while Sami and the nearby Melissani and Drogarati caves are about 40 minutes away. I'd definitely recommend Villa Theodora to friends and family as a place to explore from.

The sea view is amazing, and the rooms are clean. The kitchen is spotless and uncluttered. The place is better than I expected.
