Hotel Anixis

We stayed in a three bed room with a clean bathroom and a little balcony. It had what we needed, though the bed felt a bit too firm for me. We still got a good night's rest. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, and this seems like a good place to stop for a few nights while driving around Greece.

After a four hour motorcycle ride, we checked in late on Saturday, around 21:30. We’d booked at the last minute that same day, and the owner welcomed us warmly. The spacious, clean room had a good hot shower and strong Wi-Fi, and the price was very affordable. We were hungry, so the taverna only a few steps away, recommended by the host, was a great find. After a good night’s sleep, we took the hotel’s suggestion to visit the nearby thermal spring and had a relaxing start to Sunday. We’d definitely stay here again if we’re in the area.

The area is wonderfully peaceful, and getting around on foot was easy: two minutes to the bus station, five to the thermal springs, and three to small taverns and cafes. The hostess was helpful with directions and suggestions, and even let us stay another night at a great price. Our last minute room was also a bargain. This isn't a luxury place, but it’s practical and cozy, and we had a very pleasant stay. There was a bathroom with a shower and sink, plus an empty fridge in the main room. Being able to save leftovers and keep things like medication out of the air on blazing Greek summer days was incredibly useful. I’d recommend it in a heartbeat.

We were charged €50 for just 20 minutes in the spa. Nobody mentioned the extra fee when we arrived and wanted to use it, and when we complained at checkout, we were told nothing could be done. If you charge that much extra for the spa, tell your clients in advance.
