The pool area was the highlight, and the location is central on the island and very quiet. The family running the place were friendly, though some staff had an odd attitude that made it feel as if I were somewhere other than Greece. We stayed ten days, and there were a few things to improve. An issue with the room we were first given was fixed straight away, thankfully. Breakfast was the poorest I’ve had in ten years of visiting this lovely country, though the fruit they brought me each morning was a nice touch. The rooms could use a little more effort, such as adding a bedside lamp. With better rooms and friendlier service, this could be a great place. It was a good stay, but didn’t exceed my expectations or the standards I’m used to.

Lunch by the pool was delicious, especially the Greek salad, tsatsiki and gyros. We also had dinner at the hotel and enjoyed it. The pistachio baklava looked like a work of art. It’s a very nice family-run hotel, and the owner and other workers were friendly.

For a two-star hotel, this was great value for money. We stayed for a week, liked the room and the pool area, and the hotel restaurant served fantastic food. Breakfast was adequate, though as others have said, it could use a bit more variety. Christina at reception was wonderful and very helpful.

We ate at the restaurant and the food was amazing, absolutely five-star. I doubt you’ll find better on Rhodos. This is a genuinely excellent place to stay, with great staff, good location and excellent value. Thank you, Poppi and team 😎

The pool was peaceful and clean, with plenty of sunbeds, and the bar is a relaxing spot. Steve makes the best cocktails. Rooms were spotless, modern and airy, with comfy beds and great balcony views. This family-run hotel is superb, and they’re so helpful and friendly that nothing seems too much trouble. Breakfast was lovely too, with fresh bread and eggs a daily must. Perfect for getting into Pefkos or Lardos. Thanks to everyone at the Sunshine, we’ll be back.
