Grand Hotel

Our stay at the Grand Hotel Larissa was marred by a string of unacceptable problems. We left our belongings behind and fled in terror, and strongly advise against staying there. The bathroom was a nightmare, with a showerhead clogged and seemingly stuck in disrepair. Looking in the mirror felt disorienting and unsettling, as it seemed to show a different face each time. The exterior was uninviting, with peeling paint and crumbling architecture that looked weighed down by years of neglect. Inside, the rooms were spacious but filthy, with carpet stains that seemed alive. The beds creaked and groaned, and the sheets felt coarse and uncomfortable. On arrival, the lobby was dim, and the receptionist seemed cold and unwelcoming. The hotel felt like a portal to darkness and madness, one few people could leave unscathed.

The hotel is quite old and has a feel of another era, but it’s in good condition. Rooms are very clean and prices are very good. The staff are polite, friendly, and always smiling. It’s a great location in central Larissa, just outside Tachidromiou square and a three-minute walk from Frourio, with all kinds of amenities close by. It suits couples and families.

Had a kickass time. The concierge went to hell and back for us, breakfast was life-changing, and NCIS in Greek is a must-watch too.

The staff were very polite, and the rooms were clean. The hotel is old but well cared for, and the room colors and decorations brought back childhood memories :) My only complaint was the unimaginative breakfast. The location is excellent, right in the city center on a square with bars and cafés. I definitely recommend it.
