Getting up here takes a bit of effort because the road isn’t maintained, but the visit was well worth it. We only stopped for dinner, and the food was amazing. The host was very friendly and funny, and the mountain and valley views were stunning.

Amazing food, wine, service, and accommodation. There’s a ranch with horses, and you can go paragliding or hiking in the area. This country hotel would be my first stop if I could visit only one place in Crete. We’ve been here once so far, but definitely plan to return. The Skinakas Observatory would be my second choice. 😄 Thank you!

We just spent a full day taking a cooking class at the restaurant with my family, and had the most amazing time. It’s a family-run place, and everyone was professional, kind, and wonderful. You can feel the heart and love that went into everything here. The food was fantastic, and I highly recommend it.

The lovely suite was perfect, with a balcony and amazing views that made it easy to relax. We had superb service at breakfast, lunch, and supper, and there was plenty of top notch Greek and Cretan food to try. I had THE BEST holiday in Crete at Hotel Velani. Thanks, Sabine and Manoli, for all your efforts. I’ll definitely be back!
