Allure Wellness Retreat

We refused to stay because the place wasn’t fit for purpose, and the property is refusing to refund us. The owners’ messages have been impolite, with no apology and no attempt to put things right. It was the worst hospitality experience I’ve ever had. When we arrived an hour before check-in, we were directed by phone to some rooms. The grounds were deserted and still looked like a building site, with materials everywhere, empty pools, and furniture stacked outside, unlike the photos and the listed facilities. Our taxi driver pointed out raw sewage flowing outside. One room smelled strongly of cigarettes, had empty bottles lying around, and unmade beds. The others had no sheets, dusty surfaces, and dirty floors. Doors elsewhere on the property were unlocked, which felt unsafe, and there was nobody at reception. The reception service was nonexistent.

We only spent one night at Allure Wellness Retreat, but loved it. It was peaceful, clean, and beautifully designed. The best part was having a delicious breakfast brought right to our room in the morning. We’d definitely return, and I highly recommend it.

We had a perfect stay in a new apartment, with a nice bed, a beautiful pool, and very comfortable loungers by it. The staff were amazing and shared lots of useful tips. We could keep using the facilities after checkout until it was time to leave for the airport. The road near the apartment felt dangerous in the dark, though, and we like walking into the city.

The staff were kind and tried their best, but management let us down. We only got to move to a better room for one night after insisting, and were promised a discount. The refund never arrived because communication was poor. That’s unacceptable. The budget room was in the basement, something that hadn’t been clearly stated when we booked. It smelled bad and was noisy, and housekeeping woke us at 5:30 every morning by dragging fresh linens down the hall. The hotel looks nice from outside, but it’s clearly new and missing basics you’d expect from a professional hotel. We didn’t get comfort, quiet, or clear communication. I don’t usually write negative reviews, but this stay left me no choice. Don’t book the budget room here, you’ll regret it.
