The Varos Residences Hotel

They put guests in separate buildings all around the village, and there’s no service at all. It’s definitely not a 4 star hotel. You’d be better off renting a studio or apartment, which is cheaper than this “hotel”.

After four nights, they still hadn’t changed the bed linens, and there was only one room cleaning, around 20.00 h. The experience felt like a guest house, with rooms in different houses around the village, despite having booked and paid for a 4 star hotel. It was frustrating trying for several days to resolve an issue with reservations. They weren’t available or didn’t call back, apparently too busy with their jobs. Client service was very constant, emails went unanswered for days, and calls got the same response. Clients clearly aren’t a priority. We felt misled by what had been presented and by the service we actually received. Very disappointing, and definitely not a 4 star hotel.

The huge swimming pool at the nearby hotel was free to use, which was a nice extra, and the location is central if you have your own car and want to visit other places. Our rooms were clean and big, with comfortable beds and working air conditioning. The shower was a little small but did the job. Breakfast was tasty, served under the tree in a cosy setting. The staff were really friendly and happy to help or share information.

Breakfast was outstanding, with excellent-quality local food, and the staff were friendly. We stayed one night in the residences, which are on a different property from the hotel, so it’s a bit of a walk or a short drive to reception or breakfast at the main complex. The rooms are large and comfortable, though a little worn around the edges. The resort hotel is nice and close to the airport.
