The garden was terrific, with plenty of green grass and shade, and the closest beach was only a five-minute walk away. It isn’t all sand, so aqua shoes are a good idea, though not essential, and it gets deep quickly. At the beach bar, a pair of sunbeds cost 8 euros. They also had several kid-friendly lunch options: club sandwiches, pizza, burgers, chicken nuggets, and salads. We were three families with children aged 2 to 7, and everyone had a different accommodation. The ground floor apartment was the only one that felt worn, and its bathroom could use renovation. The wider area is green and peaceful, and we were happy to find it for our first vacation in this part of Greece. We had a wonderful summer at Gkaras Camp & Apartments. There are several restaurants within walking distance, though there are no sidewalks, and some have playgrounds.

The property is tucked among lush trees, creating a quiet, private atmosphere, and its simple, functional design has a Scandinavian feel. Our accommodation was modern, thoughtfully laid out, and impeccably clean. We spent 11 nights at Gkaras Campsite and Apartments in late July and early August 2025. A beach, restaurant, beach bar, and convenience store for basic needs are all within walking distance. The accommodation also provides bicycles, which was a lovely touch. The hosts were kind and always ready to help, while the diligent housekeeping team refreshed our towels frequently. It was outstanding value for money. We’d gladly return and recommend it.

The accommodation was comfortable and clean, and the service was great. We wanted a calm, peaceful beach, and that’s exactly what we found. A perfect spot for a short summer break. We’re very happy with our stay and would definitely return.

The camp grounds are lovely, and the beach is very close. We had everything we needed in our room for the 6 days we stayed and got a nice rest. Being able to use the bikes for free was a great extra. We recommend staying here.

It’s literally in the forest, so the location stays very cool in hot weather. This is a small campsite that’s ideal for families with young children. The two newer cottages are very well furnished, but the two older ones need renovation. For the price, they should be in perfect condition. One cottage had a broken sofa that was very dirty, and another had a shower problem. These are minor issues that I think could be fixed easily. The rooms are spacious, and the house was cleaned every two days, when the sheets and towels were replaced too. The beach is very close, though a little rocky and gets deep quickly. We had a good time overall.
