Olympian Bay Grand Resort - Bungalows

The themed dinners were great, though I did miss having fruit. I liked the friendly staff, the daily room cleaning, and the loungers in the garden and on the beach. The hotel is often full of young children, though, and the shouting happened every day and sometimes at night. If you want peace and quiet, an adults-only hotel would suit you better. That's not the hotel's fault, but I thought guests should know. Even at this occupancy, we sometimes struggled to find a free table at lunch or dinner, so I can only imagine how it feels when the hotel is full. I was also disappointed by the single-use plastic cups and would prefer hard reusable ones.

The food in the main restaurant was fresh, delicious, and varied, and we never had trouble finding a table for our family. The waiters were polite and professional, clearing dishes quickly so the restaurant stayed tidy and comfortable. Thanks to Alexandros, Sotiris, Stamatis, Maria, Marina, Eleni, and the barmen. Marilyn, the hostess, felt like the hotel's sunshine and soul: always smiling, kind, and ready to help or cheer up her guests. Our bungalow Athena was cleaned every day, and we were very pleased with that. Many thanks to Lemonia and Eleni! The grounds were green and pleasant, with olive and plane trees, and there were plenty of umbrellas and seats on the beach. The sea was warm enough to swim in, and the view of Mount Olympus with snow on some of its peaks was incredible. The swimming pools were clean, too. We were a family of five from Ukraine, two adults and three children, staying for 10 days from the 20th to the 30th of May. We arrived in the morning, and Giorgos and Vassilis at reception helped us check in quickly and explained the hotel timetable. We had a wonderful vacation and hope to come back.

The sandy beach and blue sea were lovely, and it’s a nice place to spend a holiday. The all-inclusive cocktails and beer were good, with drinks served in plastic glasses until 23:00, and there was free ice cream for most of the day. Just keep in mind that it’s a four-star hotel, not five.

A great choice for families with small children, especially with the beach so close by. The bar staff were extremely welcoming and friendly, and always happy to help. I highly recommend it for a family holiday.
