Olympus Villas

The women managing the villas were superb, and our experience with them couldn’t have been better. The location is handy for several towns, villages, and places of interest, with the beach right there and an area set aside for villa residents. There’s a nice pool and pleasant grounds, plus a little shop and good restaurants just a short walk away. The one drawback was the two basement rooms, where dehumidifiers and fans had to run all the time.

We’d booked White Nest Villas, but turned up on the wrong day, our mistake. The villa we’d stayed in two years earlier was occupied, and Stefania quickly and professionally found us another option at Olympus Villas. It’s an older complex than White Nest, but well looked after, with lovely plants and gardens. The trees and bushes around the villas give a lot of shade and real privacy, inside and out. We liked it straight away, though Thetis was only free for three nights, so we had to move on afterward. Thetis has no air conditioning on the ground floor. Both upstairs bedrooms do have an aircon-fan. The kitchen is well equipped, with a dishwasher, and there’s a washing machine in the basement. We were three people and only went downstairs to do laundry. We didn’t use the shower there because the lights didn’t work, possibly a fuse or humidity issue, and the floor had a bad smell. That odor seemed limited to the basement, which was about the only downside. The staff were helpful and available even on the weekend. They handled payments, requests, and any issues professionally and were very accommodating throughout. Their service deserves a 7, not just a 5, compared with other places we’ve seen in Greece. It’s secluded and felt safe, there are good shops around the corner, and the staff are very nice. Bring mosquito repellent if you plan to sit outside in the late afternoon or evening. I can honestly recommend Olympus Villas if you want a decent place with some private space.

We’ve been coming to these villas for the last two years and can’t recommend them enough. Elisabeth and the team are fantastic hosts, nothing feels like too much trouble, and we felt safe and secure even during covid. The place is so luxurious, from the beautiful villa to the pool, grounds, and private beach. Want a pina colada by the pool? Done. Want a BBQ? Relax and do it yourself. Thanks again for another super amazing holiday.
