The food and drinks at the hotel bar „Navagio“ were very good, especially the burger made with local products. There’s a grocery store around the corner, the beach is right in front, and cozy restaurants are close by. If you arrive by car, convenient free parking is available around the building. Teologos, Giloa, Archanhel Michail monastery, and other beautiful places are less than 20 minutes from town. We booked a ground-floor room, which had its own warm-water pool and a nice balcony with chairs, a table, and sun beds. The rooms have just been renovated and were comfortable and clean. Jordan, the manager, was super friendly and seemed to speak every language, and Yanis the server was always cheerful and helpful. We had an unforgettable stay at Castaway - Limenaria. Highly recommended, and we’ll come again!

The view was lovely, the food was good, and the accommodation was very nice, just a minute from the beach. We did have no hot water for two evenings in a row, but once we told them, they fixed it straight away.

The location is nice and close to the beach, but the noise was horrible. You can hear everything from the other rooms, the pool, and the hallway, and I couldn’t rest or sleep. It’s not suitable for children or families, and I won’t come back. The room also didn’t match the picture. The fridge was dirty and smelled bad, as did the air conditioner. If you leave the door open, mosquitoes come in. A big disappointment, definitely a no for me.

We booked a week at Studios Christos, but left after two nights and paid for another hotel. Our flight was delayed, and on arrival the male staff told us off. My friend and I were both reduced to tears. When we pointed out that the hotel looked nothing like the brochure, they said, “a room is a room.” Our supposed sea-view apartment actually looked onto a building site. As two women travelling alone, we felt so intimidated that moving hotels seemed like our only option. Talking with other guests, we learned we weren’t the only ones who had been told off or shouted at. I work in hospitality and am amazed this hotel has good online reviews. Looking further, it seems some pages with very bad reviews have been “deleted.” I’d suggest finding somewhere else, which may be cheaper and won’t come with intimidation tactics or an alpha-male ego.
