Studios Ioanna

If you’re after a relaxing holiday, Limnionas is a lovely base. The village has around six tavernas, each with its own character and some very good food. There’s a small mini market opposite the apartments with most essentials, and the locals are so friendly you’ll feel welcome wherever you go. A car is useful for exploring the rest of the island, with most places reachable on uncrowded roads, and Samos has a lot to see. The beach has clear blue water and safe swimming, with sand and shingles, plus umbrellas and beds for hire. At Studios Ioanna, the apartments are large, comfortable, and equipped with the appliances you might need. Each has a shaded patio with a table and chairs, looking over the gardens and Limnionas Bay. Mount Kirkis rises behind them, and its appearance changes with the light through the day. Ioanna keeps the apartments spotless and is around if anything needs fixing or you want advice about the area. This year she added another shady patio with seating, a lovely place to sit and read. We stayed in July 2014 and found the apartments beautiful.

We came to Limnionas to spend the last few days of our Samos holiday somewhere peaceful, and this is a place we’ve returned to and plan to visit many more times. It has that Greece you picture in your mind, quiet and calm but still with a bit of fun, friendly people, and lovely quiet sandy beaches. The village is tucked among green hills and a valley, with Kerkis in the background. It’s on the southwest side of Samos, all the way across the island, with its own beautiful large beach and naturist beaches nearby. Bring tissues for when you have to leave. It’s one of my absolute favourite places, and Ioanna, who owns the small complex, is one of the funniest and sweetest people around. Studios Ioanna is a small group of six large studios rather than a typical hotel. Each has a separate living and sleeping area, along with a kitchen and coffee machine.

The hosts make you feel welcome right away, and they’re exceptionally friendly and helpful. It’s quiet and cozy here, a pleasant place to relax after a day at the beach. The rooms are cleaned regularly and lovingly looked after. A first rate option for a comfortable, carefree stay. Highly recommended!

We’ve been staying at Ioanna’s for years, and each visit feels like coming home. It’s our favourite place to unwind, with clean, lovely apartments in a beautiful garden overlooking Limnionas Bay and the Kerkis Mountains. Ioanna is the sweetest, funniest hostess, always paying attention to everyone. Since Argiro and Pavel started co-running the complex, the hospitality has only grown. They’re incredibly kind and attentive too.
